Chicago native, Reginald Ware is the CEO/Founder of BlackDoctor,Inc. He is the visionary behind which quickly grew into the nation’s leading health destination for Black consumers – BlackDoctor.org (BDO). In 13 years, BDO has grown to average over 35 million in monthly visitors to its platform. BDO is also the #1 health website for Facebook engagement surpassing major credible sites, WebMD and Everyday Health. A graduate of University of Arizona and proud member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity, Ware has over 25 years of experience in multicultural healthcare publishing and marketing experience, including magazine publishing, website publishing and public relations. Immediately after receiving his B.S in Marketing, Ware headed a healthcare public relations firm in Los Angeles, where he was instrumental in garnering major media publicity for leading physicians and dentists, in outlets such as Glamour, Essence and Vogue magazines and the Oprah Winfrey show. One of Ware’s first major business ventures was national wellness publication, Heart & Soul Magazine which was first published in 1993. Heart & Soul was the nation’s first healthy lifestyle publication specifically for black women. It was eventually sold to BET. Ware has received numerous awards for outstanding community service and has spoken on many panels focusing on topics that range from entrepreneurship to healthcare. He is easily considered one of the most influential black men in publishing today.
